Cetrimide is an antiseptic and disinfectant used topically for wound cleansing and the treatment of some skin disorders. It is also used to treat minor burns and to prevent infection in cuts, small wounds, grazes, nappy rash and chapped hands.
Cetrimide is an antiseptic which is a mixture of different quaternary ammonium salts including cetrimonium bromide (CTAB).
Rinse the area to be cleaned with water, then use the smallest amount of irrigation to gently wash the area. Rinse again with water thoroughly. Use a new solution each time.
