A pocket mask, sometimes called a pocket face mask or CPR mask, is a device used to safely deliver rescue breaths during a cardiac arrest or respiratory arrest. The pocket mask is a small device that can be carried by a rescuer.
A CPR face shield, also commonly known as a face mask, is used during CPR to provide rescue breaths to the casualty. CPR was traditionally taught without a shield/mask, where a person provides rescue breaths directly into the mouth of the casualty. However using a CPR face shield has many advantages.
