How to inflate!?

I bought one of these and I can't get it to inflate. Is there a certain way to do it or a specific device needed? A regular air pump doesn't do anything.

Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money on this - less than 2 weeks and it has sprung an air leak at the valve seam.

inflatable rubber ring

i have to buy one just about every month for my husband who cant sit without one,i pay 26 dollars for them but they are breaking on him just about every month ,i have been buying them for a year now,he is not a heavy man ,he has been ill ,i am just writing to let you know we are on pension and its hard as it is ,so could you look into why they break open at the seam so easily
