Drive Medical Nitro Heavy Duty Rollator 10266HD-BK

The Drive Nitro Heavy Duty Rollator is a four-wheel walking aid built on a lightweight aluminum frame with a 450 lb (204 kg) weight capacity. The Euro-style design places the handles above a cross-braced frame that folds side to side, and a suspension system is intended to smooth the ride over uneven ground.

Features

• Euro-style frame design
• Suspension system designed to absorb shock over uneven surfaces
• Brake cable routed inside the frame to protect it and keep it clear of snagging
• Handle height adjusts with a push button
• Back support height adjusts with a tool-free thumb screw, and the support is removable
• Caster fork design intended to improve turning radius
• Large front casters designed for steering control and rolling comfort
• Folds with one hand to a compact size for storage
• Locking mechanism holds the frame closed when folded
• Cross-brace design allows side-to-side folding and adds frame stability
• Padded seat for resting during longer outings
• Removable zippered storage bag that stays attached whether the frame is open or folded
• Lightweight aluminum frame
• Non-marking wheels

How It Works

Squeezing the loop handles applies the wheel brakes; pushing the loops down engages the parking brake so the rollator holds position while the user sits. The cross brace collapses side to side so the frame narrows for storage and transport, and the locking mechanism keeps it closed while folded.

Directions for Use

• Unfold the rollator fully and confirm the cross brace is locked open before use.
• Set the handle height so the handles sit at the crease of the wrist with the user standing upright, arms relaxed.
• Confirm both push-button handle adjustments are fully engaged and set to the same height.
• Set the back support height with the thumb screw and tighten it before use.
• Engage both parking brakes before sitting.
• Do not use the rollator until both handle heights are locked and the back support is secure.

Safety Information

• Weight capacity is 450 lb (204 kg).
• Latex free.
• Do not exceed the weight capacity.
• Do not sit on the seat until both parking brakes are engaged and the rollator is on a level surface.
• Do not use the rollator as a wheelchair or allow anyone to push a seated user.
• Do not use the rollator on stairs or escalators.
• Do not hang bags or loads from the handles, as this can affect stability.

Care Instructions

• Wipe the frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly.
• Spot clean the seat, back support and storage bag with mild soap and water.
• Check wheels, brake cables and adjustment mechanisms periodically and tighten or replace as needed.
