The MOBB Adjustable Raised Toilet Seat adds height to a standard household toilet without replacing the existing seat or fitting any hardware. The moulded seat rests on the toilet seat frame and is held by a flange that presses against the inside of the bowl rim, so it stays in place through normal use and lifts away just as easily.

Raising the seating surface shortens the distance to sit and stand, which can make the toilet easier and safer to use for anyone recovering from hip or knee surgery, living with reduced strength or balance, or finding a low toilet difficult. The open front leaves room for personal care, and the padded top surface is more comfortable than a bare plastic riser on longer sits.

Because nothing is bolted or clamped to the toilet, the seat can be removed in seconds and the toilet returned to its normal height for other members of the household. It is light enough to pack for travel or to move between bathrooms.

Features

  • Sits on the existing toilet seat frame and installs by squeezing the sides and releasing, with no tools, brackets or fasteners
  • Flange presses against the inside of the bowl rim to hold the seat steady during use
  • Lifts off without disassembly, so the toilet returns to standard height for other users
  • Padded top surface across the seating area
  • Open front for easier personal care and cleaning
  • Contoured to sit on standard and elongated toilet seat frames
  • Lightweight for carrying, storage and travel
  • Smooth, non-porous surface that wipes clean
  • Bilingual English and French manual, with a scannable link to an installation video

How It Works

The seat is slightly wider than the bowl opening at rest. Squeezing the two sides inward narrows the flange enough to clear the rim of the toilet seat frame. Once the flange sits inside the rim and the grip is released, the seat springs back outward and holds itself against the inner wall of the rim. There is no clamp to tighten and no adjustment to set, and the same squeeze releases it for removal.

Directions for Use

No tools, fasteners or permanent modification to the toilet are needed, and the existing seat and lid stay in place. If the seat arrives in cold weather or has been stored somewhere cold, let it reach room temperature before installing it, as cold material is more likely to crack when squeezed. The seat and lid are lifted, the raised seat is placed on the toilet seat frame, and a gentle squeeze and release seats the flange inside the rim. Full step-by-step instructions and figures are supplied in the box.

Safety Information

  • Do not exceed the 350 lb (159 kg) weight capacity.
  • Do not over-squeeze the sides during installation, as this can damage the seat.
  • Do not install the seat while it is still cold from storage or shipping.
  • Confirm the seat is securely seated on the toilet seat frame before each use.
  • The seat is not a grab bar and is not intended to be pulled on or leaned against when transferring.
  • Speak with your occupational therapist or healthcare provider if you are unsure whether a raised toilet seat is appropriate for you.
  • Read the manufacturer manual under Resources before first use for the complete instructions and cautions.

Care Instructions

  • Clean regularly.
  • Use a non-abrasive cleaner or detergent, rinse with warm water and dry completely.
  • Inspect the seat regularly for corrosion, breakage, compression or wear, and stop using it if any are found.
