The Bauerfeind AchilloTrain is an orthopedic ankle brace designed to relieve the Achilles tendon without restricting mobility during pain or inflammation, such as that caused by excessive strain or following surgery. An anatomically contoured visco-elastic friction pad is designed to deliver a targeted massage along the tendon path during movement, intended to stimulate the surrounding muscles. The breathable Train active knit provides graduated medical compression that adapts to the shape of the foot, while an integrated donning aid makes the brace easier to put on and take off. How It Works

The AchilloTrain is designed to combine stabilization with freedom of movement. During motion, the visco-elastic friction pad works with the compressive knit to exert a gentle alternating-pressure massage along the tendon, which is intended to improve local metabolism and stimulate the muscles. The continuous transition between compression and decompression during movement is designed to support the interaction of nerves and muscles. Individual results may vary.

• Achillodynia (tendinosis, paratendinitis, bursitis subachillea)
• Haglund's deformity
• Chronic, post-traumatic or post-operative irritation (e.g. in the case of Achilles tendon ruptures)

Sizing

Select size by ankle circumference, measured at the narrowest point above the ankle bone.

Care Instructions

• Machine-wash separately at 86°F (30°C) with a liquid detergent
• Remove the heel wedge / pad before washing if possible; secure any Velcro to its designated place
• Use a laundry net; spin cycle maximum 500 rpm
• Air-dry only — do not use a dryer, as heat may impair the knitted fabric
• Wash regularly so the compression of the knit is retained
