Description
Description
BD PrecisionGlide™ Injection Needles feature a thin-wall, tri-bevel tip design with BD's micro-bonded lubricant, engineered by the manufacturer to provide ease of penetration and a smooth injection experience. Available across a full range of gauges and lengths, these single-use, sterile needles are designed to meet the needs of any clinical application.
Features and Benefits
- Thin-wall needles: BD states that a thin-wall needle may allow use of a smaller gauge with a flow rate similar to a regular-wall needle one gauge larger
- Tri-bevel tip designed for smooth, controlled penetration
- BD micro-bonded lubricant coating to help reduce insertion resistance
- Manufactured to ISO standards for cannula stiffness and resistance to breakage
- Regular-wall needles: available for gauges outside the thin-wall range, aligned with current industry guidelines
- Single-use, sterile, and individually blister-packed
Indications
Intended for use in the administration of injectable medications and fluids by a qualified healthcare professional. Consult a healthcare professional for guidance on selecting the appropriate gauge and length for a specific procedure.
Contraindications
For single use only; do not reuse or reprocess. Not intended for use beyond the labeled expiry date or if the sterile packaging is opened or damaged.

Sizing
Select gauge and length based on the injection type, medication viscosity, and patient factors involved. As a general guide: thicker gauges (16G–21G) suit higher-viscosity fluids and faster delivery, while finer gauges (23G–30G) suit lower-viscosity medications and more sensitive tissue sites.
Care Instructions
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not use if the sterile blister packaging is opened, torn, or past the expiry date printed on the label. Dispose of used needles in an approved sharps container.
