The Medline Guardian Combination Transfer Bench with Commode combines a bath transfer bench and a commode in one unit. It is designed to help users move into and out of the bathtub while seated, and the built-in commode opening with removable bucket adds toileting support in the same space. Height-adjustable legs, a single armrest and a backrest help you set up the bench to suit the user and the bathroom.

How It Works

The bench straddles the side of the bathtub. The two legs with suction cups sit inside the tub, on the same side as the armrest and commode seat, while the two legs with rubber tips stand on the bathroom floor. The user sits on the outside end of the bench and slides across into the tub, then reverses the movement to get out. For toileting, the bucket is pushed in under the commode opening from the front of the bench and pulled out the same way for emptying.

Directions for Use

The bench arrives unassembled. The legs, armrest and backrest each lock into place with push buttons. Before first use, adjust each leg to the required height, making sure all four legs are set to the same height and locked. Place the suction cup legs inside the tub. To use the commode, remove the lid from the bucket and slide it in under the seat from the front of the bench. Full assembly steps are in the user manual.

Care

• Do not use abrasive powders, cleaners or scouring pads.

Medline limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the duration of use by the original purchaser. The warranty does not cover misuse, negligence, normal wear and tear, or non-durable components such as rubber accessories and grips.
