Curity AMD Antimicrobial Sterile Gauze Sponges

Curity AMD Antimicrobial Gauze Sponges are sterile wound dressings infused with PHMB (Polyhexamethylene Biguanide), a safe, broad-spectrum antiseptic. PHMB resists bacterial colonization within the dressing and helps reduce bacterial penetration through it, providing protection against a wide range of microorganisms - including MRSA and VRE - without changing standard nursing protocol.

Designed for acute and chronic wounds, these sponges can be used wet or dry and offer up to three days of wear time. Their high tensile strength allows easy removal in one piece, and the PHMB treatment helps limit cross-contamination between patient, clinician, and environment. A cost-effective alternative to many antimicrobial and silver dressings.
