The DonJoy EpiForce Elbow Support is a knitted elbow support with silicone epicondylitis pads, designed to provide compression and support to the soft tissues around the elbow. It is intended for use in conditions affecting the tendon attachments at the elbow, including tennis elbow and golfer's elbow.

Two silicone inserts sit over the muscle attachments on either side of the elbow, and a removable strap can be added around the forearm to increase compression when needed. The knit is anatomically contoured and breathable, with a comfort zone at the elbow crease to reduce bunching when the arm bends.

The support is available in six sizes based on forearm circumference, and the same support fits either the left or right arm. Available in Grey.

Indications

• Chronic, post-traumatic or postoperative soft tissue inflammation of the elbow joint
• Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis)
• Golfer's elbow (medial epicondylitis)

Contraindications

The support should only be used after consulting a healthcare professional if you have any of the following:

• Skin diseases or injuries in the area of application, such as allergy-related skin changes, irritation, or scars with swelling, redness or excess heat
• Lymphatic disorders, or unexplained soft tissue swelling away from the area of application
• Circulatory or sensory disorders of the affected arm

Directions for Use

The intended user is a licensed healthcare professional, the patient, or the patient's caregiver. The user should be able to read and understand the manufacturer's instructions and be physically capable of following them.

1. Roll down the top border of the support as far as the silicone inserts.
2. Holding the inner silicone insert, pull the support over the arm and elbow. Position the small hole in the outer silicone insert over the bony point on the outer side of the elbow. The DonJoy logo should face forward.
3. If additional compression is needed, attach the removable strap to the hook and loop patch on the front of the support and wrap it around the forearm. Avoid tightening the strap too much, and loosen it immediately if it feels too tight.
4. When using the removable strap, avoid direct contact between the hook and loop fastening and the knitted fabric, as this can damage the appearance of the knit.

Safety Information

• This product contains natural rubber latex, which may cause allergic reactions.
• For single patient use only.
• Do not wear the support for more than 8 hours per day.
• Do not use this product if it is damaged or if the packaging has been opened.
• If pain, swelling, changes in sensation or any other unusual reaction occurs while using this product, contact your doctor immediately.
• If the support is worn directly against the skin, the skin should be free of injuries, moisture, oils, creams, gels and similar residues.
• With correct use and observance of all instructions, no pressure points should occur.
• The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for changes made to the product or for incorrect use.

Care Instructions

• Hand wash in lukewarm water at 86 degrees F (30 degrees C) with a mild detergent.
• Air dry. Do not place on a radiator, heater or other heat source.
• Do not use bleach or chlorine.
• Do not iron.

Sizing

Measure the circumference of the forearm at its thickest point, keeping the tape snug but not tight, and select the size that contains that measurement. If the measurement falls at the boundary between two sizes, a healthcare professional can advise which is appropriate for the intended use.
