Setup is simplified by the Auto-Detect feature, which automatically configures optimal pressure settings based on the user's body weight and shape — reducing manual adjustment and ongoing maintenance. At 8 inches deep, the mattress fits most standard homecare and hospital beds and side rails, providing full-body immersion and support to relieve pressure on vulnerable skin areas. A static head section supports positioning comfort, while near-silent pump operation minimises sleep disturbance.

Additional intelligent features include Auto-Firm for safe repositioning, Auto-Lock to prevent accidental setting changes, and a 36-hour power outage protection mode that keeps the lower cells inflated in the event of a power interruption. The EasyCover is removable for quick cleaning or laundering, and the redesigned lightweight unit ships in a compact box for easier handling, setup, and storage. How It Works

The Palm uses an alternating pressure cycle to periodically shift contact pressure across different zones of the mattress surface, reducing sustained pressure on any single point of the body. This cycling motion is designed to support circulation and help prevent pressure injuries from developing in at-risk individuals. Simultaneously, the micro low air loss function allows a controlled flow of air through the mattress surface to manage skin temperature and moisture — two key contributing factors in skin breakdown.

The Auto-Detect system reads the user's body weight and profile during initial setup and configures pressure levels accordingly, removing the need for manual calibration. If the user needs to be repositioned, Auto-Firm inflates the mattress fully for a firm, stable surface and then automatically resumes therapy once repositioning is complete. Should a power interruption occur, the system maintains lower cell inflation for up to 36 hours to provide a baseline level of protection.
