Description
The MD by Drive Air-Go Walker is a four-wheeled walking aid that combines the four-point stability of a walker with the mobility and seating of a rollator. It arrives fully assembled out of the box, so no tools or setup are required before first use.
An always-open, three-quarter-length seat sits behind the user rather than across the full frame, which is designed to allow a natural walking stride without the seat interfering with leg movement. When a rest is needed, the seat is already in position - there is nothing to flip down or unfold.
Oversized Airgonomic grips with integrated air bladders cushion the hands, and large 6 in (15.2 cm) treaded front wheels are intended to help the walker roll over rugs, grass, and uneven outdoor surfaces. The scissor-fold frame collapses in a single motion for storage or transport.
Features
- Airgonomic oversized hand grips with integrated air bladders, designed to cushion the hands and remain easy to grasp for users with arthritis or reduced dexterity
- Always-open, three-quarter-length seat measuring 21.5 in (54.6 cm) wide x 8.8 in (22.4 cm) deep
- Curved seat design intended to allow a natural stride without interference
- Single-motion scissor fold for compact storage and transport
- Large 6 in (15.2 cm) front wheels with water-dispersing treads, designed to improve traction on wet surfaces
- Four height adjustment positions to fit users from 4 ft 9 in (145 cm) to 6 ft 7 in (201 cm)
- Anodized aluminum frame weighing 8 lb (3.6 kg)
- 300 lb (136 kg) weight capacity
- Ships fully assembled, requiring no tools
- Limited lifetime warranty
How It Works
The four-wheel frame provides continuous rolling support on all four contact points, so the user does not need to lift the frame between steps. Handle height adjusts across four fixed positions from 33.1 in (84.1 cm) to 36 in (91.4 cm), which allows the grips to be set at a height where the user can stand upright with a slight bend at the elbow.
Because the seat is fixed in the open position and shortened to three-quarter length, the user's legs pass beneath and behind it during walking. To rest, the user positions the walker, applies the braking method described in the manufacturer's instructions, and sits back onto the seat.Â
Directions for Use
- Remove the walker from the box and open the frame fully until the scissor fold locks into the open position.
- Set the handle height so the grips sit at wrist level when standing upright with arms relaxed at the sides. Ensure both sides are set to the same position.
- Push the walker a short distance ahead and step into the frame, keeping the body upright and inside the frame rather than leaning forward over it.
- Before sitting, bring the walker to a complete stop, secure the brakes, and back up until the legs contact the seat.
- Do not use the walker as a transport chair. It is not designed to be pushed with a person seated on it.
- Do not exceed the 300 lb (136 kg) weight capacity.
- Do not hang bags or other loads from the handles, as this may affect stability.
- Do not use the walker on stairs or escalators.
Consult a healthcare professional before use to confirm that a four-wheeled walker is appropriate for your mobility needs and that the fit and height settings are correct for you.
Care Instructions
- Wipe the frame, grips, and seat with a damp cloth and mild soap. Dry thoroughly.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents on the anodized aluminum frame.
- Check wheels, fasteners, and height adjustment pins regularly and confirm they are secure before each use.
- Inspect the grips for wear or loss of air cushioning and replace if damaged.
