How It Works

The pack holds water and a separate inner bag of calcium ammonium nitrate granules. Folding the pack ruptures the inner bag, allowing the granules to dissolve into the water. This dissolving reaction absorbs heat from its surroundings, which drops the temperature of the pack and delivers cold therapy without any need for prior refrigeration. Shaking the pouch for at least 15 seconds fully dissolves the granules, and shaking occasionally during use is intended to help maintain cooling performance.

Contraindications and Warnings

For external use only. Harmful if swallowed.

• Do not use a pack that is leaking — discontinue use immediately and contact Medline.

If accidentally swallowed, give several glasses of water and contact your local poison control centre immediately. Should contents become exposed to skin or eyes, flush with water immediately and call a physician.

Directions for Use

1. Fold the product in half along the dotted line until the inner bag ruptures.
2. Shake the pouch for at least 15 seconds to dissolve the granules in the water.
3. Wrap the pack in a soft cloth and apply.
4. Shake the pouch occasionally during use for best results.

Application should not exceed 20 minutes. Single use only — discard after use.
