The Human Care neXus 3 Wide is a four-wheeled rollator built on the neXus 3 frame with a wider stance and greater spacing between the push handles. It is intended as a walking aid for people who want more room across the frame and between the handles than the standard neXus 3 provides, together with a higher maximum user weight.

The frame folds side to side and stands on its own once folded, so it can be parked upright against a wall rather than laid flat. Braking is cable-free, with the brake mechanism carried in the handle assembly rather than routed through external cables.

Two models are available, differing only in seat height and handle height range: neXus 3 Standard Wide and neXus 3 Low Wide. Overall width, maximum user weight and finish are the same across both. Choose the model by seat height, using the measuring instruction under Sizing.

Safety Information

• Do not exceed the maximum user weight stated in Specifications.
• Do not sit on the seat unless the frame is fully opened and locked and both brakes are in the parked position.
• Do not use this rollator as a wheelchair or transport chair. It is a walking aid, and the seat is intended for resting only.
• Do not use on stairs or escalators. Use on even surfaces clear of obstructions.
• Do not lean to one side when sitting down. Distribute weight evenly so the frame does not tip.
• Do not put weight on the push handles while sitting down or standing up. Use them only to steady yourself.
• Do not hang or rest anything on the backstrap.
• Do not hold the brake handles squeezed while walking, as this wears the brake pads and tyres early.
• Touch the back of your legs to the seat before sitting, and check that the rollator will not roll.
• Check that all bolts and height adjustment knobs are secure before each use, and inspect the frame for loose, cracked or corroded parts.
• Take care around the handle mechanism, the seat hinge and the wheels when folding and unfolding, as these are pinch points.
• Inspect the rollator carefully after it has been transported in a vehicle, or after it has been left unattended and out of sight.
• The manual supplied with the product carries the full list of warnings. Read it before first use.

Care Instructions

Wipe the frame down with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use chlorine bleach, abrasive cleansers, naphtha, gasoline or other solvents.

The two soft seat cushions unbutton from the seat once the red seat handle is loosened, and can be machine washed at 60 °C for 7 to 8 minutes before being refitted. Avoid running water through the wheel and fork bearings.

Store the rollator indoors, away from heat sources and out of the weather. If it will be stored folded for a long period, raise the push handles so the seat is not left indented. Use only manufacturer-authorized parts and accessories, and have the rollator inspected once a year by an authorized dealer or service agent, who should be the only person to make adjustments to it.

Sizing

Seat height is the measurement that separates the two models. To find the right one, stand in the shoes you usually wear and measure from the floor to the crease at the back of the knee. Choose the model whose seat height is closest to that measurement, so that both feet rest flat on the floor when seated. Handle height should then be adjusted so that the handles sit at wrist level with the arms hanging relaxed at the sides.
