How It Works

The forearm rests inside the open cuff while the hand takes the load through the grip, so weight is shared between the forearm and the hand instead of resting on the wrist alone. The clip mechanism in the lower shaft sets the crutch height, and the rubber tip with its metal inlay holds contact with the floor as the crutch is loaded and lifted.

• Do not exceed the stated maximum user weight.
• Do not use the crutch if the tip is worn, split or missing, or if the shaft, cuff or grip is cracked, bent or loose.
• Do not use the crutch until the clip mechanism is fully engaged and the height is locked at the same setting on both crutches.
• The tips are made from natural rubber. 
• An open cuff does not hold the crutch on the arm when the handgrip is released.

Sizing

Crutch height should be set with the user standing upright in their usual footwear, arms relaxed at the sides. The handgrip normally sits level with the crease of the wrist, which puts a slight bend in the elbow when the hand is on the grip.
