The Colt Sport is a four-wheel mobility scooter built around a high-back reclining seat and suspension at both axles. It is a full-size scooter rather than a folding travel model, intended for riders covering longer distances and uneven pavement.

Comfort Track Suspension front and rear works with pneumatic tires to take the edge off rough ground. The seat swivels for transfers and slides fore and aft, and the armrests adjust for height, width, depth and angle. Steering and acceleration are handled by a delta tiller with a push-pull throttle, which can be operated with either hand.

Storage and visibility come as standard, with a large front basket, a storage compartment and cup holder built into the tiller, dual rear-view mirrors, and a full LED light package including turn signals, automatic brake lighting and a puddle light beneath the tiller. The scooter separates into sections for transport in a vehicle. Two matte finishes are available.

• Keep the pneumatic tires inflated to the pressure specified in the manual. Tire pressure affects range, handling and braking.

Sizing

Check the overall length and width against the doorways, hallways and lift the scooter needs to pass through, and against the vehicle it will be transported in. Seat-to-ground height affects how easy it is to get on and off the scooter, so measure it against the height the rider transfers from comfortably. Seat-to-deck height determines legroom between the seat and the footplate. Both heights are adjustable across the ranges below, and the seat also slides fore and aft.
