The Vita 2 Plus is a foam pressure redistribution mattress built on a high-density foam base with a cubed foam top surface. The cubed surface is designed to increase the area of contact between the mattress and the person lying on it, and to allow air to move through the top layer. The mattress is supplied with a removable cover.

Reinforced edges around the perimeter are designed to hold their shape when someone sits on the side of the bed, which supports seated transfers and bedside care. The mattress is intended for use in hospitals, long-term care and nursing homes, home care, and rental programs.
